On Friday, June 7, Mr. Yasuhiro Takami, Senior Advisor to the Minister of Defense, visited Metro Weather.

This visit was in preparation for our upcoming participation in EUROSATORY 2024, a five-day international defense and security exhibition to be held in Paris, France starting Monday, June 17. As part of the Japan Ministry of Defense Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Agency (ATLA) booth, Metro Weather will be exhibiting its technologies. During the visit, we presented our business activities at our headquarters and provided a hands-on demonstration of our Doppler LiDAR system at our Quality Control Center, where research and development are conducted.

At the headquarters, our CEO, Jun-ichi Furumoto, explained the business domains Metro Weather aims to pursue and the R&D initiatives we are advancing. Mr. Takami listened attentively, taking notes with a serious expression, and asked insightful questions about our technologies and business. The discussion extended beyond the scheduled time, resulting in a lively and productive exchange of ideas.

During the tour of the Quality Control Center, Mr. Takami observed our operational Doppler LiDAR system and showed great interest in the real-time wind condition data it generates.
